AWC Staff Services are looking for a Multi Skilled Engineer/Mechanical Fitter to work at Royal Blackburn Hospital in Lancashire.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a commercial/ industrial environment providing building services maintenance.
Duties
- To undertake maintenance, repairs and inspection of mechanical building services.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on mechanical and associated building services in accordance with the PPM programme and personal competence and training.
- Experience of working on or with one or more of AHU’s, Vent, FCU’s ,LTHW, L8, Pumps, Pipework, Valves, and other mechanical systems.
- Assist in Carrying out installation work involved in minor upgrading and adaptation works.
- Assist in Carrying out systematic fault finding in a logical and safe manner on malfunctioning equipment.
- Carry out risk assessments on-site as instructed by supervisor / manager
- Technical issues with steam boilers and related equipment desirable
- Technical advice and problem solving on water systems and heating issues desirable
- Laundry/lifecycle meeting, planning, input desirable
- Sound awareness of risk assessment and working safely with equipment.
- Ability to measure, works to plans (method statements), read technical diagrams.
Qualifications
- ONC/C&G or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a commercial/ industrial environment providing building services maintenance.
- Experience of working on or with one or more of AHU’s, Vent, FCU’s ,LTHW, L8, Pumps, Pipework, Valves, and other mechanical systems.

Rate: £16.34 per hour (+ holiday pay)
