AWC Staff Services are looking for a Safety, Health, Environmental (SHE) Advisor for work in Birmingham on the HS2 Project, on behalf of their client.
You will be responsible for Instilling and promoting a right-first-time approach, ensuring that when non-conformity is identified, corrective and preventative actions are taken to achieve continuous improvement on site.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Deliver a framework that fosters and promotes an organizational culture dedicated to achieving an incident-free environment.
- Ensure effective implementation of safety, health, and environmental systems and procedures for legal compliance.
- Ensure adherence to the business management system and applicable processes.
- Identify and report any gaps in documentation, competence, and systems using the appropriate change request procedure.
- Deliver on the published annual SHE business-specific ‘Targets and Objectives’ to ensure continual improvement.
To apply for the role, you must have the following:
- NEBOSH General, Construction or equivalent
- Professional membership of Tech IOSH or equivalent with relevant CPD
- Knowledge and experience in Streetworks, excavations, plant and pedestrian interfaces, and Construction Design Management.
- Ability to use work management systems, Microsoft Office 365 applications, produce reports, analyse data, and implement action plans.
- Experience of working to an externally verified management system including IS 9001,14001,45001 along with Achilles, Safe Contractor etc
Working hours are Monday - Friday 7.30am-5pm
Start: 18th August 2025
Duration: 3 months
Rate: £300-£350 per day, dependent on relevant experience
