AWC Staff Services are looking for a Mechanical Technician to join our clients healthcare facility's
engineering team. The role will be responsible for a range of maintenance tasks,
including both Authorised Person (AP) and Competent Person (CP) duties, ensuring that all
mechanical systems within the healthcare environment are operating safely and efficiently. This
includes conducting Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), repairs, and clearing blockages
across the site. The role will require participation in an on-call rotation (1 week per month) and
the opportunity to attend relevant training courses to enhance skills and knowledge.
As part of the role, you will be working on AHU Maintenance, FCU, Calorifier inspection, TMV maintenance, Boilers, L8, Drainage- unblocking toilets/waste pipes and Repairing leaks.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician or similar role, ideally within a
healthcare or critical infrastructure environment
- Competency in mechanical maintenance, fault finding, and repair on HVAC,
plumbing, boilers, and other mechanical systems.
- Demonstrable experience in Authorised Person (AP) and Competent Person (CP)
duties.
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and the ability to implement
safe working practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
o Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
The work will start off as Mon-Friday, but following a training period, you will progress onto a rolling 4 on, 4 off rota.

Rate: £19 - £25 Per Hour, DOE
